HR support for SME's

Your HR Department has been set up as a result of our experience over the last few years of providing support and advice to owner-managed and/or family-owned businesses. Entrepreneurs often need additional skills and support to get the best from staff as the company is growing.

We are here to provide that support. Our role is to assist in handling change and growth; improving productivity; improving the motivation and loyalty of staff; strengthening the people management skills of directors and senior managers and providing an independent voice when it is needed.

Our philosophy is simple

We are here to help you make your business more efficient and successful. We can free owner managers from the burden of trying to keep up to date with the mountain of employment legislation so that you can get on with running your business. We can also provide you with the advice necessary to help you get the best from your staff. We believe firmly in treating people properly but also in expecting a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay.

Your HR Department offers a range of services. One service is that for a fixed annual subscription we will provide expert advice on the following matters
  • Disciplinary action
  • Dismissals
  • Redundancies
  • Grievances and other complaints from employees e.g sexual harassment and bullying
  • Employment legislation
  • Matters concerning payment and conditions of employment
Included as part of the package is the following
  • A review of your existing contracts of employment, staff handbook and other procedures
  • Training for you and your management team in how to manage confidently within the law
  • Telephone support providing detailed advice on individual issues
  • We provide the advice, you make the decisions. Our objective is to help you to find a safe way to do what you want to do. There is no expensive insurance getting in the way and dis-empowering you

The alternative is to access our advice on an individual basis as you need it but without the commitment of a subscription. You may need help with a specific problem and if you do, we will provide some suggestions and an idea of cost at the beginning of an assignment. Where open-ended support is required on an ad hoc basis, we are available at a rate of £125 per hour.
